As a premier provider of laser machining services, Avicenna has adopted a mission to continually develop methods of applying laser energy to materials, thereby arriving at novel laser-based manufacturing solutions. An extension of Avicenna's mission is to offer its solutions to the marketplace as viable cost-effective alternatives to traditional manufacturing practices.

History:
Avicenna Technology Inc. was founded in March 2000 by a group of private investors intent on resurrecting a world-class laser-based manufacturing facility left idle by previous owners.

The founders of Avicenna were convinced that Avicenna's team would discover new markets and develop new applications for its resources that were once the primary source of laser-stripped leadwire assemblies to the disk drive industry.

The vision of its founders has been validated by Avicenna's accomplishments in its first year of operations.

In addition to discovering demand in the neuro-stimulation market for its core competency of laser stripping fine wire, Avicenna has broken new ground with its development of Parylene Ablation and Laser Marking Teflon, two applications of laser energy that had not been thoroughly developed for the marketplace prior to Avicenna's involvement.
