AVICENNA TECHNOLOGY INTRODUCES A NEW BRAND IDENTITY WHICH SIGNIFIES THEIR NEW BRAND STRATEGY.

Montevideo, Minn. / 05 June 2009—Avicenna Technology, an innovative manufacturer primarily serving the medical products industry with laser, mechanical, and organizational energy services, announced a new brand identity which signifies an evolution in their brand strategy. The new brand underscores Avicenna’s commitment to being a connective catalyst that bridges the technology-solution gap between a customer’s product concepts and their manufactured products.

“Through the development of our new brand strategy and identity, we have evolved the Avicenna brand to more accurately represent what our customers value most: a business partner that consistently delivers the right technology solution, along with the highest degree of professional stewardship along the way,” said Chad Carson, general manager.

The new logo features a fresh and friendly type font for the brand name, Avicenna, which appears in all lower-case letters in a bright blue that is reminiscent of the former logo. Above the letters is a graphic symbol whose form is inspired by the lower case “a” at the beginning and ending of the name. It has two parallel reversed-out lines that represent beams of laser light that stretch from the top left corner to the lower right corner of the form at a diagonal The symbol looks like it could be a cross section of one of the many types of tubes with which Avicenna works because it features a negative space in the center. The orange color of the symbol is meant to add warmth and contrast to the word mark in blue.

“Our new identity emphasizes our new brand promise which is all about connection,” explained Carson. “The treatment of the iconic “a” symbol throughout our identity systems plays off this theme as it is shown in various sizes, always connecting in various ways. This symbolism represents the catalytic connection role that we play in the larger picture of achieving our customer’s product vision.”
