AVICENNA LASER MARKS BARCODES ON HEAT-SHRINK POLYOLEFIN
Montevideo, MN…Avicenna Technology Inc, a leading provider of laser marked tubing products to the medical device industry, has extended its laser marking ability to medical grade heat-shrink polyolefin tubing.
Avicenna's laser process produces dark, legible marks that easily meet the viewing criteria of implantable device makers. Avicenna can achieve vivid marks without compromising the tube wall, which ensures that the expanded polyolefin material will not fail during heat-shrink recovery.
Avicenna can mark tubing with alphanumeric text of any height, width and thickness, and can serialize this text. Avicenna can also mark tubing with customized shapes, symbols, and company logos. When processing expanded heat-shrink material, marks must be formatting to be visually correct upon recovery of the tube. Avicenna can stretch text, symbols, and logos to match the recovery factor of any heat-shrink polyolefin material.
In conjunction with the expansion to polyolefin material, Avicenna has developed the ability to laser mark barcodes on the full circumference of a tube. In essence, Avicenna can offer a 360-degree barcode to its customers, which allows a device to be identified no matter its orientation, packaged or freestanding.
